I’m a hopeless romantic, no reason for my insanity

One small ship, one big sea

Together I picture the whole scene.

 

Never have seen you, recognize your every move

The cracks in your lips hurl windy tales

Your vivid way makes me stay

 

Let me hang around your neck

Back off slow, but I won’t forget

Learn my way on the crease of your dress

Flows so smooth and I’m left a mess

 

It’s nothing to you, like stardust on a comet’s tail

The submissive stone in its path I’ll dwell

Mistakes I’ll make

Love I’ll break

Smiles I’ll fake

My faith will shake

Just tryin to give, more than I take

Look real close, there’s something so familiar it crawls on my skin,

Then my focus begins to throb, too much uselessness in the mess,

So I shoot off from the foot, could be a hip, but they run bad in my family

If it is the same dream, infinite dream, blessed dream, where did evolution go wrong

 

“Don’t say that, don’t you know that’s wrong”

“I don’t know nothing, right or wrong”

“How do you keep out of trouble”

“I wear really tall boots, and jump a lot”

“Well you speak poison, and that infects a lot”

“Maybe I should start a boot-jumpin charity”

“Maybe you could tone down”

“What about the mutes”

“What about them”

“You would have me unemploy”

“No that’s just wrong”

“I should’ve guessed
